Congratulations to our amazing 10 Gappies from our Flintshire WeGrow Progamme who have completed their 26 weeks of employment with WeMindTheGap and Graduated on Friday in front of their friends, family, employer partners, life coaches, supporters and the WeMindTheGap team.

It was a huge occasion attended by nearly 100 people who were all their to celebrate their achievements and gave them a standing ovation welcome as they entered the room to their chosen song of ‘Here Comes The Sun’.

5 – move straight on into employment on Monday
4 – move into education and training for, Childcare, Teaching Assistant, Film Making and Performing Arts aswell as continuing with volunteering
1 – is considering their next steps

We cannot forget to thank our ‘Wisdom Filled Superhumans’ – Life Coaches, aptly renamed by the Gappies Nathan Sarea, Elaine Rippon, Marian Rosefield MSc (MAPPCP) Ray Smith Nicola Blythin, who guided and inspired our team.

Also the WeMindTheGap Team of Laura Columbine Mark Rimmer and Jim Ellison, not forgetting our wider team and of course Trustees, Rachel Clacher CBE Karen Campbell-Williams Kirsty Rogers Louise Gatenby Karen Jones and Emma Degg FRSA without whom this who programme couldn’t have happened.

The evening rounded off a programme of sheer hard work and determination by our young people, and was a celebration non of us will forget.
