We Belong | WeMindTheGap

We believe that there should be no cliff edge for Gappies when they graduate from our programmes but a continuum of love, care and holistic support. Every Gappie remains a part of the WeMindTheGap family, through becoming a member of our WeBelong alumni programme, but more than anything a community. Our dedicated team continues to walk alongside our Gappies as they progress into the world of education, volunteering, employment or new life opportunities.

Support, mentoring and a caring person to turn to – for a little or as much as you need; we are a lifetime programme.

This is our WeBelong programme. Graduates of our programmes can turn to the WeBelong team as much or as little as they want – at any point in their lives or careers.

We can help with advice and support with areas including relationships, careers, education, volunteering, housing, parenting, and welfare support. The team is there to provide practical support, a listening ear and a trusted and caring person to turn to – at any time, and for any reason.

3 months

WeDiscover is a three-month virtual programme for 16 - 25 year olds, where young people can discover more about themselves, through online interactive sessions and mentoring, helping them to grow in confidence and skills, and see a clear path for their future.

12 months

A life-changing programme for 18-25 year olds, including six-months' paid employment, work placements, coaching & Mentoring sessions, activity days & experiences. All geared towards employabiliity ready

WeInspire

A supportive, nurturing programme for 11-15 year olds who are struggling with traditional education. Building confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging for students in school

WeBridge

Our programme designed for young people aged 16-25 who are motivated to work but face challenges in securing employment or voluntary roles through traditional routes. The focus is on identifying and addressing any ‘barriers or gaps’, such as experience, skills, or confidence.
