WeMindTheGap – Annual Impact Report for 25/26.

Today, we are proud to publish our latest Impact Report, showcasing the difference we’ve made alongside young people, partners, employers, schools and communities across North East Wales and Cheshire.

This year, we reached 1,115 young people, exceeding our target and demonstrating the growing need for relationship-led support that helps young people build confidence, develop skills, access opportunities and feel they belong.

These results are something we are incredibly proud of. Not because of the numbers alone, but because every statistic represents a young person taking positive steps towards a brighter future.

This Year’s Highlights

• 1,115 young people reached
• 514 young people actively engaged across our programmes
• 129 young people supported in education through WeInspire
• 52 young people progressed into employment
• 36 young people accessed work experience opportunities
• 19 young people progressed into education or training
• 86 young people reported improved wellbeing
• 75 young people reported a stronger sense of belonging
• 26 young people progressed onto another WeMindTheGap programme

More Than Numbers

Behind every outcome is a young person with their own story.

From securing a first job and gaining work experience, to returning to education, building confidence, improving wellbeing or finding a sense of belonging, these achievements reflect the resilience and potential of the young people we support every day.

Throughout the year, we continued to strengthen our programmes and expand our reach across our villages, ensuring that more young people could access the support, relationships and opportunities they need to thrive.

The Power of Community

None of this happens in isolation.

Our impact is made possible by the commitment of our staff, volunteers, employer partners, schools, funders and supporters who believe, as we do, that every young person deserves the chance to succeed.

Together, we are building communities where young people feel valued, connected and empowered to achieve their potential.

Looking Ahead

While we are delighted with this year’s results, we know there is still more to do.

Too many young people continue to face barriers to education, employment, wellbeing and social mobility. Through our programmes, partnerships and growing Power of 10,000 movement, we remain committed to creating opportunities, breaking down barriers and ensuring young people have the support they need to flourish.

We would like to thank every young person, partner, supporter, volunteer and member of staff who has contributed to this year’s achievements.

Together, we are proving that when relationships come first and communities come together, lives can be changed.
