WeMindTheGap is due to launch their 4th Flintshire WeGrow programme this year. The programme will start on Monday 10th May, welcoming 10 young women between the ages of 18-25 in Flintshire.

WeGrow is WeMindTheGap’s full 12-month programme. The programme gives the young people six-months’ paid employment comprising five different work placements within different industry sectors, offered by our employer partners, as well as life-coaching and new skills and experiences. This is followed by six-month’s dedicated life support.

This is WeMindTheGap’s 4th programme in Flintshire. The success rate for previous programmes has been high. The WeGrow teams been able to see young people discover their passion for working in a certain industry sector; find where their ambitions lie; enrol onto college courses; find their confidence and receive offers to study their dream degree at University. All allowing them to start climbing the steps into their future.

Chloe graduated from WeMindTheGap’s Flintshire programme in 2019. She started a job working in Care after she graduated from the programme and has now been offered a place a Bangor University to study Adult Nursing.

She says,

I love every aspect of my life; I love my bad days because that reminds me, I am human. Always love yourself and be happy
