On a blustery evening on the 6th December, our class of 2024, Flintshire WeGrow Gappies, proudly graduated at the historic Flint Town Hall amongst, friends, family, peers, employer partners and supporters.

With over 100 guests in attendance, this was an evening not only to celebrate success and achievement, but also to give thanks and also put some new skills to the test in the form of public speaking.  All nine of our wonderful Gappies really excelled themselves, presenting to the audience on what they have learned and achieved over the past 26 weeks.

The evening was a wonderful opportunity to share the progress of our nine young people over the course of the programme and how they are now more equipped to take the next steps on their journey.  Some will be starting employment, some will enter education, and others will continue on the WeMindTheGap journey.  We are equally proud of each and every one of them.

We’d like to give a special thanks to Andy Dundobbin, North Wales Police & Crime Commissioner and Cllr Dennis Hutchinson, Chair of Flintshire County Council for awarding our graduates with their graduation certificates.

We are so thankful to the support given to our Gappies over the course of this programme, from employer partners, coaches, mentors, volunteers, and statutory partners who all form part of our developing village of support. It was wonderful to see so many of you there on the evening.

Congratulations to our 2024 Flintshire WeGrow Gappies.
