We were delighted that our CEO Ali Wheeler was invited to speak at the 2025 Movement Annual Conf yesterday, sharing our WeMindTheGap BigConversation findings and how 47% of Young People had told us they don’t feel that they ‘Belong’.
Joined by our WeBelong Community Maker Sian Hughes WeMindTheGap want to share our findings to support and influence as many collaborations as possible to ensure every young person has the opportunity to thrive, please read our findings here
Ali Wheeler said, ‘Being part of the 2025 Movement, wanting to end inequalities and being actively part of the Leadership team is where I feel I ‘Belong’ and can play my part.
Systems Leadership for change takes time, energy, lots and lots of small actions and activities all working towards a common purpose, we need to do the right thing at the right time, empower everyone to play their part, and be constantly curious about why inequalities are growing, and do something about it, it’s unacceptable that we see our young people and society struggling with challenges such as food poverty, bed poverty, and for WeMindTheGap young people falling through the gaps of education, employment, skills training and life opportunities, as Dr Ruth Hussey said, ‘enough is enough’.
